That is the question. Does your body need fruit or cake? Both can be sweet but one is healthy and the other is unhealthy. Which is best for you? I think you know the answer to that question. ;)
If you are anything like me, I love sweets. I always have loved sweets: cakes, cupcakes, frosting, reese's peanut butter cups (my comfort sweet), cookies, etc... My husband LOVES cookies. We call him the cookie monster in this home because they will all be gone within 24 hours. Being a sweet lover has sugar ups (which aren't good for you) and that brings me pretty down. It becomes a yo-yo cycle that needs to be taken control of.
One thing that has led me to study the Paleo way of eating is the fact that I need to change my eating habits and what I consume to a healthier way. I am also studying up on fasting and how good it is for your body.
I personally don't like fruitcake. I never have. Maybe I tasted an old one when a slice presented itself during a Christmas holiday when I was younger.
